I got my NAUI open-water certification with DiveAqua. The program was well-organized and well taught by Todd and Steve at a reasonable price. Would recommend.
The instructors are very talented and super friendly! They made my first time scuba diving super easy and relieved so much stress. Definitely recommend.
I signed up at Brampton Scuba, and went to Mississauga Diving and AquaSystems for my classes. The pricing was misrepresented to us when we first signed up and paid. We made sure to clarify that everything including rentals was included in the price we paid at Brampton Scuba. However, we came to realize that practicing in the pool in Etobicoke cost extra, rentals to complete Open Water were extra, and the certification card was extra. None of that was mentioned when we signed up. The in-class sessions were just watching TV without much actual teaching. I felt the employees pressured us to purchase scuba gear as well by using scare tactics. My friend was already uncomfortable about using rental mouthpieces but the employees tried to rub it in by saying how disgusting the rentals were, how people spit all over them, etc. The rentals were disgusting, we could see. The goggles had black mould on them, and I’m not quite sure they sanitize anything. I experienced some defective equipment while at the pool and during Open Water, but they did try to resolve that which was nice. In summation, I personally did not have a good experience with them and would not recommend them.
