Nice to go for a cuppa or drinks. Lovely Victorian building shame details aren't looked after. Bar staff great others unprofessional and non-attentive. Room very worn, no hot water yet modern bathroom. Windows didn't open properly so very warm. Wardrobe dirty, mini fridge removed. Sad..... Lovely pictures around the hotel and one of Lady Diana Spencer and Queen Elizabeth in reception.
Just had an overnight at the Great Victoria hotel ( second stay ) Excellent in every way. We were invited to check-in immediately and received a free upgrade to a lovely boutique room. The linens and towels are all of good quality and spotlessly clean as was the room and ensuite. The evening meal was lovely and the restaurant intimate and stylish. The breakfast is one of the best we've had. All the staff were friendly and welcoming especially Jus on reception for whom nothing was too much trouble. We'll be back !
Went for Afternoon tea without being to the hotel before and was pleasantly surprised by the great service especially by Jamie ? And the team Afternoon tea was lovely while I belive a couple of things could be baked on site instead of bought in it was a lovely setting in the dinning room. Only thing to let down the property is no baby changing in a 4 start property ? but again Jamie sorted out a private place to change our son well done and be back soon.
Beautiful building, lovely friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was superb, will definately stay there again.
