Nice place, with polite helpful staff. The beer was a good average. The food was delicious, simple pub meals done well, with a good man size portion in the case of the large fish and chips which was my choice. Another plus was you could see the difference between the two sizes of fish and chips easily, something not always the case.
I had high hopes for this place but left feeling really underwhelmed. Several of the menu options were not available, which we didn't find out about until we tried to order them. The skins on the roast potatoes were so hard they were difficult to cut - one guest at another table had a potato fly off the plate and onto the floor. The meat and the veg were tasty though. No taste of lemon at all in the cheesecake (just tasted of cream) and base was hard to cut. I wouldn't rush back.
Good place to go to chill out. Attentive staff, friendly. Food good.
