Decent B&Q with its biggest asset being the staff. Very friendly and accommodating with genuine service not seen very much nowadays. Store layout is a little odd and can be difficult to find things plus car park is poor and needs sorting out.

Good that they are still open in lockdown, but the store is so big and they only let a very few people in at a time - out in the cold freezing otherwise. Sainsburys is much more crowded, so not sure why b&q are so restrictive x however, they have everything and staff are very helpful, as always.

Would just like to warn any other shoppers about the perils of buying good home 10mm laminate flooring. I purchased a quantity, left it in the room for 24 hours before starting to lay this morning. As an experienced fitter I noticed on the second piece that the click lock was very poor and they started to come apart as I progressed. At 3/4 of the way access the room it’s all coming apart. I phoned the store because I decided I can’t have this sub standard rubbish in my house. Spoke to the manager and he said to me s it stated on the leaflet inside the pack to leave it 48 hours. On the outside of the box it just says leave in the room at normal room temperature unopened. You obviously wouldn’t see the instructions until you open so they contradict each other. Anyway that’s my beef. Moral of the story don’t buy laminate floor from b and q. Manager did say he would refund me if I bought any full lengths back after lifting the whole floor to start again! Big thanks for that. USELESS STORE AND PRODUCT.
