Noisy Hotel, Rude Management
This hotel has a great facility, although accessed by a long and rough road that may have a toll on your car, if you are driving a sedan. It has a pool and nice views, but you need to drive to the nearest beaches.
Unfortunately, if you are not accustomed to sleeping through barking at random hours, it is a nightmare. Handsome looking big house dog roams freely and chases cats.
However, the worse is the rough treatment of guests. After second sleepless night, we complained to the hotel mangement. They chose to secure the dog, still next door to our room. When the dog started barking again at 6:00 am, we got up to calm him. The facility manager Semra was there and when we asked why is this happening again, she confronted us by saying “it is the nature of the animal” and slammed the door.
When we tried to talked to the owner, Ahmet, later that day, he was in no mood to hear guests. Rather than listening to us, he tutored us on the natural needs of dogs. When we told him that either him or Semra could have shown sympathy or say sorry, and explain they did their best, but the dog still needed his nature-walk, we would be understanding.
Apparently, for this management, their dog is the highest priority, closely followed by teaming up against the guests.
They claimed that they are known as a dog-friendy hotel, which we were not told, and guests should expect this kind of noise. It seems like they were upset that they had to tie their dog for these problem-making guests, and they unleashed their hatred like a bad neighbor.
He claimed to have been in hotel business for 50 years - well, he has not learned much about guest relations - or training dogs.
Another problem was the very patchy wifi coverage. Although they claim that it is accessible across the facility, we had to resort to cellular coverage most of the time.
