Beautiful surroundings Sunday roast was cooked to perfection and the cocktails were yummy. Just wish the cocktail list was a bit more extensive being a "bar"
If you want to go for dinner make sure you book the bar and NOT the restaurant as they don't tell you that they are two different places. The restaurant was extremely expensive - 75 per person and really seriously average. Stale bread, bland pumpkin soup and a mushroom risotto which was mushy and made my wife feel sick. Honestly terrible experience that set us back over 150 without drinks. Should have asked for my money back.
Met friends from Sydney for dinner. Dining room closed so went to Harvey's Bar. Very limited menu. 6 people ordered. Service was good and prompt. Meals very disappointing Some served lukewarm. Won't be back.
I have always loved Harvey's Bar. This is the first time since he died though. He used to come in frequently and spontaneously play behind the piano. Different atmosphere now.
We went there for dinner on a Sunday and they have a roast special there also available 25 roast wine on Sundays. You can go on their website to checkout what live music they have on schedule each night. They had a live music when we went she started playing the grand piano around 8ish that night. Beautiful venue with a fireplace and nice atmosphere. The bar is situated inside the golf course and you can also book to stay there also. There is also a fine dining restaurant next to the bar If you feel like having something a bit more fancy.
Excellent music and vibe. Top service and good food. Will be back to the hotel too
