Lovely fish freshly battered, nice and crisp not greasy, did half portions for the kids and some sweets too bless them. Chips were nice and small which were a hit. Curry sauce a bit on the runny side and only cash which was a bit of old world hassle (worth it though)
Visited Bowen's Fish & Chip Shop for the first time yesterday afternoon and I was delighted by the warm, friendly service and the high-quality food. The gentleman and the lady serving in the shop (which was exceptionally clean) were not only welcoming and friendly but they were also very helpful in making recommendations about local sites and attractions. They even gave me some chocolate for my children which was a very nice touch. I'd wholeheartedly recommend this place for a chippy dinner/tea and I hope to visit again soon.
Very hungry after our 5 hour costal walk. So glad we waited the 30 minutes for Bowen’s to open. A lovely couple with great sense of humour and visitor advice. Haddock was cooked perfectly (no skin) and the batter was crispy and tasty. Chips too where crispy. Really lovely. CASH only atm though.
