We joined Kalapca for a 3-hour \via cordata\ experience. What they refer to as \via cordata\ takes place inside a natural cave. The experience starts with gearing up with coveralls, hard hats, and harnesses. Then follows a 10-minute hike to the entrance of the cave. Then starts the fun. It's supposed to be open to anyone in decent physical shape, but beware if you are short (the ropes, cables and steel steps are geared for an \average\ person) or have limited upper body strength. You clip yourself onto the ropes using a pair of carabiners. It's safe, in principle, but don't make a mistake. Unlike the U.S., where outfitters like these have you sign your life away, then forbid you to do anything too challenging, in France, there is no litigating culture, and you are trusted to know your own limitations and take responsibility for your own actions like an adult. That being said, that excursion was just challenging enough for me, with the right amount of adrenaline. One of my companions, a petite (and more plump) woman, said that it was probably the most challenging thing she had done in her life. The guide had to provide a lot of encouragement and technical support to make it through certain difficult passages.
Canoeing and kayaking here is wonderful.. Beautiful view and safe as the water isn't much deep..

Very friendly and approachable staff who also speak very good English. However the person that took us to the start point only drew us a diagram in the mud which wasn't then useful 7km away when we didn't realise we had to paddle ask up the celle river and ended up canoeing another 2km down stream to then realise we needed to turn around and paddle back quickly to get back before closing time. All they need is a sign at the join of the 2 rivers telling you what to do or a laminated map for each canoe.
