Awful experience! Drove a 100 mile round trip to visit this shop as my son had some early birthday money to spend and we wanted to spend it at a small business rather than Amazon on his beloved Hornby set. Very rude lady on the door said no entrance without a face mask. I explained that normally I wear one, but being exempt I don’t have to if I’m having a real struggle breathing. (I have three separate conditions excluding me) She pointed at the sign and shrugged. My son had been so looking forward to the visit all week that I put a mask on and went inside. Shortly afterwards I couldn’t breathe and expressed this to the cashier. She didn’t care either and even though we had come to spend a good sum of money they had no regrets. I no longer felt well enough to ask for the sets he wanted to buy and had to leave. I believe in keeping everyone safe but the shop was full of kids without masks and the man behind the train desk was not wearing a mask. I really wanted to support a small business but clearly they don’t want the support or care how they make customers feel. For their lack of care they lost a 200 sale. Back to Amazon for me and I will never return to this rude uncaring business. Real shame :-(

A good range of stock and a pleasant surprise in the High Street of a popular tourist spot. Unfortunately the museum was closed but that didn't detract from the shop. Covid secure measures in place and helpful staff.
Used to be my favourite haunt when I lived in those parts. Very knowledgeable owner. Have bought quite a bit here and their model railway display is tops.
Lovely little shop with a great range of models and toys on display. For adults/children, beginners/seasoned modellers this shop is a must visit. There's even a fully operational model railway that you can access for a small fee.
