Interesting, quirky, educational. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. I spent a good 1.5hrs looking at different exhibits and asking question. Not so good for younger children, maybe 8 years would enjoy.

Lovely place. Alot of of wildlife to see and learn about. They have a room to hold a tea party. And helping a growing business called MASS APPEAL with office space. They were very pleasant

A quirky, old fashioned and therefore rather delightful little museum. Only open Tuesdays but very welcoming of visitors. They also hold talks Tuesday evening and Saturday. See their website.

A very nice museum. It could do with improving its publicity as we stayed literally opposite it and didnt notice until our last day that it was there. It has an old world charm about it. The volunteers who staff it are all very helpful and enthusiastic. Entrance is free but a donation is morally the right thing to do to keep this gem alive. The place is full of interesting fossils, natural history and loads of other interesting items. They also have a wonderful garden at the rear with its own pond.

What a gem in Bournemouth. Though only open regularly every Tuesday due to being staffed by volunteers, I and my children have never experienced such great enthusiasm and one-to-one contact with staff and exhibits. There was a lot to see despite the relatively small size of the building compared to a lot of popular museums. Having some live insects to see and touch was a big hit. A real treat and time well-spent, if we lived more locally we would be back here often and the grown-ups volunteering!
