I came back to return a door curtain that was too small that I purchased little over a week ago (online) I first contacted the store directly the day before to check this was okay as I’d be purchasing the new bigger size of the curtain the same day. I was told I’d have to fully return the curtain then reorder a new one which I did but then upon trying to return said curtain I was met with hostility and rudeness from one member of staff and the general manager I told them that I’d spoken to someone in store the day before and that they said I could return them & to just put them into a bag with all the inside of the packaging, it’s impossible to keep the outer packaging as that ripped very easily. I explained all of this clearly and I was told it’s no problem. The manager was sarcastic and rude which is not the way you should treat paying customers. I rang customer services and went through everything with them and was offered a full refund for both curtains and given an apology which has restored my faith in Dunelm as a company so thank you to the lovely lady from customer services for restoring the days happiness after all that stress.

It's a lot brighter than the range next door has kind of a John Lewis filled to the typography and the branding But end of the day, it's one of those stores that sells import nonsense that you don't need add a markup that you could never reasonably justify Imagine IKEA just without the efficiency and of a lower quality

The shop was fine with click and collect BUT had to eventually do that as an order I sent asking for delivery never arrived..trying to sort that out was a nightmare.! eventually cancelling and as I said at the start I got my item click and collect.. now have to wait for refund of 20 pounds as the item had gone back to original price by the time I collected today. . Delivery order was 84 pound. Click and collect 105 pounds.

Purchased a new toaster, which had a security seal all intact. So imagine my surprise when I opened it at home to find bits of old toast crumbs in my new toaster and dirty marks on the casing. On closer inspection one of the bread slots was broken. This 'new' toaster was clearly used and I assume had been returned as faulty and the store just resold it again. I was absolutely shocked. Spoke to the store, they gave me Dunelm customer service number. Could not get an answer from them, so then did an online chat. After lots of grief and having to ask to speak to a manager (was told this was not possible as they are all working from home) I eventually got them to refund my money and arrange to collect the toaster. Have had no apology, they didn't even seem that shocked. I can only hope that someone looks into what has failed in their processes to have allowed this to happen.
