Not much of a queue but had someone going outside asking what folks needed so for the customers not to wait if items not in the store. Nice staff in store very helpful. Had what I wanted in stock at a good price.

I ordered a mobile phone online because I thought it would be easier, unprecidented times etc, otherwise known as 'click & collect'. A few days later I went back to collect it and pulled into one of the click & collect bays where they bring your order out to you. You have to go onto a website and tell them you're there, but the website doesn't work. I walked up to the store and was asked what I was there for. There was a wait for Carphone Warehouse, but other people were allowed in to browse. It started to rain so I came back later. This time there was nobody on the door so I sneaked in and waited at the order collect point for a member of staff to arrive. I was told to wait at the Carphone Warehouse concession where I had to give all my details again before waiting for the assistant to search for my order. I was presented with a tablet computer to sign a disclaimer to say I didn't want to buy insurance, and had to put the card I bought the phone with in a card reader to confirm my identity. In all it took about an hour to pick up a package which I had already ordered and paid for online, which seems a long time given the amount of staff they have milling around looking like they're too important to serve customers.

Great service when I went in store to purchase a screen protector and spend a gift card. The sales assistant in Carphone Warehouse was very helpful and brought out a screen protector from the back, for my new phone which had only just come out. Also purchased a portable charger in Currys PC World and that was very swift. Only thing I would say for knocking a star off, was because I had to queue outside for a while before being allowed in. Which I understand we have to do because of Covid but they were only allowing about 10 customers to be in such a big store at any one time. Therefore if you are planning a visit here, allow extra time to queue even if you're only going to browse.
