Doing a great job to stay open in these difficult times. The burger barn was good fun with something for everyone on the menu. Service was very prompt. Some things to work on: - we were one support bubble and wanted to sit in the tented section rather than the barn because it clearly had better ventilation. This was met with some resistance as were told this was being saved for potential groups from multiple households. They did relent after some pressure but was surprised that letting us sit where we felt safest was an issue. In the entire time we were there the tented section was less than a third full, the barn was distinctly more so by the end of our meal. - a bean burger as the sole vegetarian option felt like I'd gone back in time by 20 years. Meat substitute products have progressed so much in recent times offering both improved flavour and texture. I feel other similar pubs are offering more impressive vegetarian alternatives. - an added 12.5% service charge. I cannot emphasise enough how poor a taste this leaves in the mouth at the end of an otherwise pleasing meal. We were a party of 2. I'm sure it is buried on the menu somewhere and that it will be at the customers' discretion but it gives such a poor impression. At 18.50 for a bean burger and chips I feel a fair price had already been paid - service was good and I would have been happy to add on 10% *voluntarily*. I was requested to pay 12.5%, very reluctantly did and would now hesitate on coming back - I would argue that 2.5% is a false economy.

Really disappointing. Been wanting to go here for a while, live locally and have been to all the other pubs for food. We took a friend and our 1 yr old. Welcome was warm and friendly, however soon as orders were taken the staff disappeared and seemed to struggle with the 5 tables that were in and had to constantly flag people down if we wanted another drink. Even had to move the plates ourselves (as did another of the 5 tables that were left) Obviously things aren’t exactly the easiest at the moment though but given the amount of staff there should have been a doddle. Biggest issues were the fact my wife’s fish and chips had to go back because the batter was cremated on the outside and totally raw inside which was a mega shame. Then the one that came back re-cooked was exactly the same (oil is too hot people)! Given the price that’s pretty unforgivable. We then ordered some “Vegetable dips” for the little one and what turned up is in the photo. Less than half a carrot and some yoghurt dip for almost 5 quid. Which is ridiculous. We had the lamb for two. Which was incredibly tasty. Really nice. Expensive for Sunday lunch (almost 35 quid for two courses) and the roast potatoes were obviously cooked much earlier in the day and dried out. All in pretty disappointing performance and I’m a bit sad about the whole thing. Shame. Should have had the pizza out the front.

This review is for the outside location. The outside is nice (might need an extra heater) and it is well spaced out. The toilets are porta-loos so bear that in mind if you are disabled. The burgers were absolutely amazing! Seriously, I don't like most burgers because the meat is never that good... Unless you are eating here. Everything about the burgers were amazing. The fries were also really, really good. This place is a posh burger and fry joint - and ultimately they knock it out of the park. I look forward to visiting again.

The burger barn is very cool and the food was up to the usual incredible standards of the B&G. Lots of heaters and a fire pit for extra warmth and atmosphere.

Even though it was a lockdown take away. The Barn Burger was exceptional. Would definitely make it a regular Saturday walk
