Amazing those French botanical gardens in the city. This one is close to the Nantes train station and gives you everyting a garden should, including a children playground, a restaurant and very many places to sit and enjoy the scenery or the passers by. Count one or a few hours to get into the spirit.

Very nice rustical greenhouses, unfortunately most of them closed for inside visit due the covid19 times. There is a big playground which children will appreciate for sure. You can see ducks in small river and sit on many benches.

One of the most extensive and most well maintained botanical gardens I've ever been to. My highlight: It hosts a wide variety of cactuses, more than I've ever seen before anywhere else. Also the art placed around the garden was really nicely done.

I like the way they put these decorations (as shown in my photo) or the water flow to move the flowers in the park. There are not only several interesting plants for you discovery, but also some small areas which are used as garden (I like this arrangement cause it makes me feel so familiar). I didn't have much time to visit so yes, I will come back if I have another chance to visit Nantes.

A quiet oasis right next to the train station in Nantes. The Botanical Garden is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. If you have kids, there is a nice playground and kids pool. A little cafe will help you stay refreshed. My favorite part is moving fountains in the gardens.
