Nice place to visit for a stroll around, we visited on Halloween weekend so was full with spooky trails and hunts for the children and very busy! Hard to navigate the one way system at times as we missed a few turnings and had to go back around on ourselves to find the right paths we hadn't been down. The woods was unfortunately closed off which was a shame but look forward to coming back to explore. Lovely little play ground with slide, climbing frame, zip wire etc.

Very pleasant gardens on the edge of Haywards Heath. Lots of variety with formal gardens and woods to walk around. Currently has a one way system in operation which takes you around the gardens with views of the main house (not open to the public) and across to the Balcombe viaduct plus distant views of the South Downs. Nice cafe with outdoor seating selling home made cakes and sandwiches.

Beautiful gardens, lovely walks throughout. Stunning views. Excellent sandwiches and coffee in The Gardeners' Retreat. Took opportunity to walk around the famous Ouse Valley railway viaduct. Excellent day out.

Quite expensive for what you get access to. We wanted to walk further through the woodland but it was closed. The gardens and plants are beautiful. The cafe was a little pricey and not overly generous with the portions. The cream tea had a smaller than average scone but it was in proportion with the amount of cream and jam provided. The tuna mayo sandwich was made with pre-sliced bread when I would have expected freshly baked hand-cut bread. The cafe won't make me want to return but the gardens are undeniably good.
