Considering the circumstances it was very good, friendly, polite reminder to wear the mask. Clean warm and well maintained no chance to see the main menu but they were catering for event. The location is a picturesque Hampshire village with beautiful church, thatched roof cottages and well heeled inhabitants. Always a delight.

Had a pleasant lunch for 2 today. Attentive service and eager to please. The bland salad dressing was changed in an instant, prompted by only a passing remark. The outside tables, beyond the car park, by the river, will be great for spring/summer drinks.
we called in here for lunch, whilst staying at a fantastic airbnb in North Houghton. Can honestly say it was one of the finest pub meals we've ever had. High fives to the chef and kitchen team. Super-friendly welcome from owner and staff. Venison bourguignon and all the vegetables had amazing flavour. Smoked trout, horseradish and sourdough, just too nice. Beer was great. Right on the river. Will be back for sure... 5 big stars ...
It was a miserable day with biblical wind and rain so running into the Boot to seek cover was essential. The warm welcome we were given was just tip top. It was half term so me and my oldest friend and our young kids were so well looked after it was brilliant. The waiter engaged with our kids and was a natural. The food was excellent for us and kids. Our pies were top draw and the kids burgers were freshly made and very tasty. I hadn't been to The Boot for a few years but will be going again next time were in the neighbourhood.
Very friendly, great staff. Excellent food at fair prices. It's a five from me.
