The National Park Service has done a really nice job with all of the historic battle fields near Harper's Ferry. The walking trails are really nice and easy to navigate.

A nice place to stop and get some fresh air. Usually not nearly as busy as the rest of Harper's Ferry. Not a bad place to come to get a little history or nature but it really doesn't offer much of either.

You can almost hear the footsteps of the thousands of Union soldiers marching to and digging trenches around these heights anticipating a large frontal invasion. This battlefield showcase yet another evasive maneuver by Stonewall Jackson, as he out-flanked the mass of Union trenches and captured Harpers Ferry. Take the time to learn about the battle and walk the fortifications. Great fields to have a picnic or host a gathering.

Great spot to visit or take a hike. Fine views of Loudoun Heights, the Potomac River (in the distance) and the Appalachian Mountains, extending South from Loudoun Heights. Site of one of Stonewall Jackson's finest victories.
