We did the tasting menu which was good but in my opinion the truffle pasta was the least amazing dish out of all. The truffle taste was minimum and compare to everything else not needed in the tasting menu in my opinion... the cocktail was really good and the duck and salmon my favorite!

Loved the bread to start off my meal with the creamy butter. To start I went with the Grilled Spanish Octopus served with caramelized carrot and cauliflower. The octopus was incredible. So tender and not overcooked at all. For my entree, I ordered the Brown Butter Roasted Wild Striped Bass. recommend

If you are young and are visiting Chicago, looking for a high quality meal that is semi-affordable, I would not recommend coming to Boka. I'd like to start off by complimenting the amazing waitstaff. The ambience was lovely and the scenery was very charming. My friend and I ordered the four course meal for his birthday. While we had high hopes for this Michelin star restaurant, we were introduced to below-average food that was not worth the price it was listed as. Our first two courses were fish, which didn't leave room for much variety. While the flavors were different, it wasn't outstanding. Our third course was Venison which was delicious. However, the last course was, to simply put it, a disaster. We were served a Fudge Sorbet which was unusually bland for chocolate. It had a sort-of lime foam that tasted salty on top of the Sorbet. It also had marshmallows on the bottom that were so repulsive, my friend and I were tempted to spit it out. All in all, I would rate this place a 1/5. Save your money, there are better places in Chicago where you could spend less.

Boka has quickly become my go-to spot for special event dining. My husband took me here for my birthday several years ago and we absolutely loved it. We now come back regularly for birthdays, anniversaries, etc. They have a very charming atmosphere and the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. If you can, I would highly recommend coming for the unique menu during restaurant week as well!
