This spot has really grown on me. The baristas are super chill and unique, and offer quick and friendly service. Also. they feature local artist's work, which you can buy if it tickles your fancy!

Love this little hole in the wall. If I wasn’t looking for it, I definitely would have walked right by and missed it. You don’t want to miss it! Coffee is on par & the waffles are heaven. Definitely a cozy community spot. Friendly people, couches and tables, games and books.
Minneapolis has a plague of coffee shops, one every few blocks, and with each person adopting theirs with a loyalty that we generally maintain for sports teams. The Boiler Room is mine, but only because it's actually the best one. The house-made chai is an important reason why; the availability of a variety of tea and coffee blends given its size is another; the pricepoint is a third; their work with a steamer is a fourth. There's several more reasons, but can be summarized otherwise as: not generally fancy but delicious, close-to-home, and affordable. Boiler Room for life.
Love Boiler room! They've put up plexiglass shields (ones that are actually large enough to be effective) around the ordering and pick up stations. Feels very safe!
No frills, non-chain little basement coffee place with good muffins and great coffee. Nice and simple - just how I like it.
