Another visit, this time with the car in need of an urgent service. It was a relief to be able to get my car in so quickly & also serviced with the (usual) minimum of fuss. I was kept informed every step of the way, with regards to the progress of the work being carried out & was contacted in advance, of anything else that needed to be done. I have come to trust this service centre & shall generally now, be my first port of call for vehicle issues.

Beware, I had front tyres fitted during an MoT at the same time as the front wishbones were replaced. The tracking wasn't checked and after 3900 miles the tyres are down to the canvas. Halfords are not interested. They say it's my problem. I can't prove it's as a result of what they did (or didn't do) but I am really surprised at their attitude. They say it's really easy knock the tracking out, but at the age of 61, having driven many hundreds of thousands of miles, that's not my experience - perhaps I'm lucky? Normally I would have tracking checked whenever new front tyres are fitted so I am surprised that Halfords think it's OK to fit new suspension arms and new tyres and not check the tracking (especially if it's so easy to \knock the tracking out\!). Halfords say they would offer free tracking if I buy new tyres but are not taking any responsibility and are not prepared to contribute to the cost of new tyres. I am really dissappointed so will be looking elsewhere for MoTs, repairs and tyres.

All was well with this. However, one week later the car, 'service now' warning is coming on. I have a reader that can reset this but not everyone does, this would be a real nuiscance if you have to come back in (Covid is rife at the time of wriitng!) The car was serviced; this should've been reset.
