Been coming here for 5 years and always been happy with the food and service until this weekend. Their COVID rules are now x2 tapas plates per person and two rounds of alcoholic drinks, if you want more alcohol then you have to order more food. It seemed a relatively sensible rule until we noticed a couple at the bar were allowed to order one dish each, and the group behind us (who knew the young server) had 3 rounds of alcoholic drinks served to them and only 4 dishes between 3 of them. We asked for more drinks after seeing this and were refused. It wouldn't leave such a sour taste in customer's mouths if they did the same rules for all; makes you wonder if they serve whatever they want to people who they know, because they think they won't get audited or reported - slightly short sighted. Won't bother to return here again.

Favourite place for tapas in bowness food is really good quality. Nice selection of beers aswell will be returning next time I come

Good bar... been here sometime now. I only sat outside under the heater watching the world go by. I had a pint of loweswater gold. ( a favourite of mine) They do now have a good larger & hand pull selection. I didn't eat but sat there for half hour I heard two different couples mention how good and impressed they were with the food.

Called in for late lunch as fancied a range tapas which was displayed on outside board. Great service and friendly from staff member. Fantastic food and well seasoned also good portion sizes per tapas dish. Good value for money as well. Bar is well stocked with a good range of beers and spirits. We eat in quite a lot of tapas restaurants and both me and my wife agreed this was one of the best ones and would definitely come again.
