It's one of the best out of the average chippies in the area. The layout and quality has changed over the years from its inception in the early 80's when it was our goto place for school lunch.

Got cod and chips, was delicious, lots of chips better taste than Costa's ;). The cod was exceptional. And it's not too dear at that price point 9 quid and they have all sorts of other things like chicky burgers and sausages and whatnot. I spent less on that i would spend on a burger place i liked and this is way healthier ;). Bought it to share with someone as well and was enough for the both of us.
If you have a peanut allergy do not order the chips as I was told they are fried in ground nut oil. I placed an order but could not have what I wanted. The guy I spoke to explained about the chips, as I was a bit concerned I took antihistamine before the alternative order arrived, and was happy I did so as it still triggered a mild reaction but nothing too serious that I could not manage. The burgers were fresh and Nice though. And again I thank the guy that rang me regarding my allergy. Very considerate.
The food is lovely but the price difference between 9 for a delivered piece of cod as to 6 for cod to buy in shop all adds up.
So so goood! Amazing fish and chips, as requested salty with vinegar. Highly recommend.
