I was shuklas patient when I was about 14-17 years old. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar and he tried so many different mood stabilizers with 0 success and no thought of reevaluating me. Those years were the worst of my life. I was numbed out, couldn’t think or feel anything. I found out he had me overdosed on several medications. This effected my school work and social life horribly. I expressed all the concerns to him which continuously went ignored. My decline in mental health was obvious and he didn’t really seem to care or was too stuck on the original diagnosis. I’ve since found a doctor who actually listens and cares, got an accurate evaluation, and I’ve been doing a lot better. I just don’t like how this guy got away with stealing years of my life. I would definitely not recommend this doctor if you’re looking for an accurate evaluation, especially anyone under 18, he will not take you seriously in the slightest.

He is a very compassionate and understanding man. His staff is very rude and quite difficult. Generally you pay fees to wait because he is usually late and his staff can't manage his schedule.

I saw doctor Shukla for about a year or so. He was nice but he doesn’t listen well and is not very approachable. I told him I was having severe reactions to medications he was prescribing and he said, “You aren’t supposed to be feeling that way.” He would just keep adding on medications and up the dosages. I ended up taking a DNA test (through a DIFFERENT psychiatrist) to see what medications I was compatible with and when the results came back I was shocked to find out that all of the medications Dr. Shukla was prescribing I was severely allergic to. Throughout my time seeing him I wasn’t getting any better and he didn’t listen to me whatsoever. I believe that these positive ratings are fake. Do not see Dr. Shukla.

Dr. Shukla changed my life. He is kind, caring, warm, and compassionate. Dr. Shukla is intelligent and knowledgeable. He uses every tool at his disposal to help you live the best life you can. I have never had a doctor invest so much time and energy into my care. He is by far the greatest doctor I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. I will never stop singing his praises. He is incredible. I am so grateful for him.
