A nice castle with beautiful views at the nearby mountains. Pretty much reconstruction is going on here, which in the end is good of course, but it can be a bit frustrating for some visitors. Takes about 10-15 minutes to explore the castle.

Easily accessible by bike or hiking, the castle gets renovated. The place also offers breathtaking views of Gader valley. Some 10 minutes down the forest road there is a shed offering some meals.

Blatnica Castle is a nice ruin of a small medieval castle. It's a short walk (about 40 minutes) from Blatnica village. The ruin has no tourist center nor shop, but you can take a stop at a cabin 10 minutes under the ruin to have some food. There is very little info on boards around the ruin and it's mostly in Slovak. The view from the ruin is great, both to an open country towards Martin and into the Gaderska dolina. Old walls are well preserved, though there are no handrails except for the hill edges and the place is under reconstruction, so be careful with your steps and don't let your little kids walk around alone. There are a few benches to sit on and the place is a bit windy. If you do like ruins, this is a great place to go.
