It’s a great park by the water. There are walking and biking trails here. They were pretty much flat. Nice place go in the evening for a stroll. Free parking is available. They have restrooms as well and are maintained well. Great park.

The bike trails in DC are wonderful. I have been an avid cyclist for many years and I can appreciate the improved signage, cleanliness, lighting, as the trails are maintained and expanded. The Bladensburg Waterfront Park is no exception is part of the bike trail I take from Anacostia Riverfront Park. I bike past Robert F. Kennedy Stadium and Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens. This is a splendid trail and very scenic the entire way. I have biked the trail with my daughters and on plenty occasions by myself.

Bladensburg Waterfront Park is a public park just outside of the D.C. boundaries in Bladensburg, Maryland. Steeped in history from the colonial period, the space has been through a lot. Now it's a space for the community where you can boat, fish, kayak, picnic, etc. It's open from sunrise to sunset and comes with several parking lots (free parking). It's along the river and there's a dock with boats, kayaks, etc. There's a small red train and a playground that kids love. There's also a pedestrian bridge taking you to the other side of the river. They do many events throughout the year from live music in the summer to festivals.

Very nice park. Nice long trail for a leisurely walk, scenic bike ride, or invigorating run. Interesting historical exhibits add to the picturesque water scenery.
