We didn't actually visit the pub. We stayed on the 5 pitch CL site at the side of the pub. It was handy for what we needed which was a visit to Huddersfield early the next morning. It is just a field with 5 grass pitches with no hook up. There is fresh water and somewhere to dump your grey water by the gate as you drive in but no toilet or shower facilities. The only down side really was how close to the road it is and the noise from the passing traffic. I slept through fine and for one night it wasn't a problem.
We had our evening meal and it was fantastic. (Compliments to the chef ). Everything was in place for social distancing and was very tastefully done. Great presentation. We will definitely be coming back for more.

One of the best burgers I’ve eaten. Value for money was good and staff are very welcoming and friendly. I was staying at their campsite and got bogged down due to the soft ground. Chris the owner found time to come out and help tow me in between cooking. Thanks.
