We visited on Boxing day and had the carvery. We had a table booked but it was very quiet. There was a choice of meats and a home cooked steak pie to choose from along with the usual veg and ready made Yorkshire puddings. The chef was a bit odd and we did find him unprofessional in the way he spoke to us and his topic of conversation but there was nothing wrong with the food. The pub was generally clean. There is a damp problem and the paint was flaking off the wall and was all over the booth we were sat at and on the floor. Rest of the staff were friendly.
Lovley pub and food is very good,never waiting to get served.
Nice seating area, Staff are very friendly and food is excellent well worth the visit.. Also if staying over night rooms are absolutely spotless. Nice clean and comfy.
My family went for Sunday lunch on 26th January to celebrate my 80th birthday and was so surprised to see they had given us a long table (12 people) and decorated it with \Happy Birthday\ strips and little bowls of Quality sweets and flowers. The meal was excellant and the thoughtfulness was second to none so THANK YOU all of you very much and will be back. Mary Baxter
