RNLI Blackpool Lifeboat Station, Central Promenade, Blackpool, FY1 5JA, Lancashire, England was established by the Institution in 1864. Blackpool is one of only two RNLI stations to house three inshore lifeboats – namely the B Class Atlantic 85 Lifeboat named William & Eleanor, the D Class Lifeboat named Eileen Mary George and the 2nd D Class Lifeboat named Basil Eric Brooks. NB: Blackpool Lifeboat Station is situated on the Central Promenade, just south of Blackpool Tower and if you look on YouTube you'll find some videos of the lifeboat actually launching and returning to base.
