Looks can be very deceiving! I played this course last week with a friend of mine, a day prior to playing Lytham St Annes. When you see the golf course from the pro shop, it look open, inviting and somewhat of an easy course. That's where you're wrong! Once you actually get on the fairway and see how thick the rough is in between the holes, it will make you hit the ball straight! There are a lot of holes where you use the black and white aiming markers as the course is perhaps hillier than first thought, without being mountainous! There are some great holes on this course and if you like a golfing challenge, then this will not disappoint. The bar was open for a well earned pint afterwards, all Covid secure, as places should be at this time. If i'm back in the NW looking for a round, i'd happily go back again.

Golf course is really good, however the website definitely needs an update.
Played here on 25/06/20, really friendly staff from the Pro Shop, members all welcoming and happy to help. The course was in great condition, greens especially were 10/10 lovely true roll. Will definitely return in the future.
Really impressed with how well looked after the golf course is. Members I spoke to were very helpful and friendly.
