I ordered an afternoon tea for my parents to celebrate a special anniversary. The staff could not have been more helpful in terms of flexibility with delivery time, understanding to wait at the door as my parents are elderly. They were fantastic about dietary needs and really friendly. They knew to make the occasion as special as possible adding in a note from the family as we unable to celebrate with them due to covid . My parents were delighted with the contents which have lasted over two days! Even the delivery man wished them a happy anniversary. All these little acts of kindness make a BIG difference A very positive experience all round. Thank you to all the staff and delivery guy involved.

It was an amazing experience for us. My sister booked a table for us and when we got there, they offered us complimentary bread with some spread I cannot remember the name of, but it was delicious and very light to start off. I had the pork with pease pudding and mustard for starter and it was very moreish; I had a roasted lamb lunch for main course, and it was the best roast lunch I've ever had; and I had a lemon meringue fool with biscuits for pudding which was to die for. The drinks were great, service was amazing, atmosphere was relaxing and it was excellent value for money. I would recommend this restaurant for everyone.

Never eaten at the restaurant and if its reflects our takeaway I never will Here is our meal Two cocktails The only highlight of the entire meal Starters Mushroom soup Tiny tiny portion watery OK taste Goats cheese: My wife was not impressed Mains 2 X Hog Roll with veg 4 extra Again tiny portion I could have fitted the whole lot on a side plate and it would still have looked half empty Nothing special taste wise. Desserts Sticky toffee pudding Cremated should never have been served A tart with vanilla cream Tasteless throw it away Cheese course extra again 3 cheese's the size of my little finger The quality and portion sizes are a joke and at 80 for the lot poor value

Can't speak highly enough of this establishment. Impossible not to feel safe as the tables were always a good distance apart and continue to be so. Temperature checked on entrance coupled with all of the usual social distancing considerations. Even the staff are wearing visors and face masks!...then just world class service from exceptional staff (who find perfectly that very difficult balance between being attentive and in your face) and superb food.

We had an amazing experience at Blackfrias! The restaurant itself has a medieval architecture that made us feel in the old times. The food is not only delicious but sophisticated. The ingredients have an outstanding quality. The staff are friendly and welcoming people. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back.
