Really good historical info on the boards which makes it interesting. Dog friendly and lots of space for them to run off the lead. Wear good footwear, some bits uneven under foot and it can get very muddy. Lovely to walk in, in any season.

A lovely place to visit and walk around. There are some information panels around the site that really help bring it alive. It says it is an Iron Age Fort dating from around 4 centuries BC. The car park is small and there are no facilities at all. Dogs must be kept on lead.

Within the Woodlands are the remains of this 4th century BC Iron Age hillside fort. A delightful place to walk under the canopy of green leaves provided by the tall trees. A colourful ground carpet is provided by bluebells, white cow parsley, pink clovers and green ferns. Pheasants, rabbits, birds and birds were also enjoying the habitat. Nesting boxes are attached to trees dotted around the woodland. Ideal spot to stroll around and enjoy the peace and tranquility, pheasants, rabbits, birds and birds were also enjoying the habitat. Nesting boxes are attached to trees dotted around the woodland. The pathway around the Camp is a bit rustic and not always even under foot. Felt like a magical aura engulfed the place.
