Saint Wilfrid's is such a great school, the teachers are brilliant, I love the house system and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. The lunches are delicious and my favorite food is the pasta. I have made such great friends at Saint Wilfrid's and it is a nice place to be every day.

I attended St Wilfrid’s from years 7-13. The school is of a high standard and always aims to put the needs of the students first. Teaching is always of an excellent standard and many teachers are very approachable if students should have a problem. The school is modern and has many facilities such as the iSpace and iPads to enhance learning. The school centres around a strong Christian ethos which is celebrated by all students with termly trips, of worship, to the Cathedral. A new chapel has been built on site so students can engage further in their religious beliefs whilst at school. A key component of the school is the house system which is used to enrich the lives of the students, using a competitive yet friendly team format. This competitive spirit runs throughout the school and see students of all ages participate in weekly challenges and big events like the swimming gala. The house system is open to all and is a great opportunity to make friends from all years. The school has a wide range of opportunities for students to participate in including trips to places such as France, Germany, Italy and New York. There are a range of extracurricular activities such as badminton, dance, rugby, drama and STEM. Overall it is evident that the school pride themselves on putting the students first don't just care about numbers such as the progress 8 score. This is a great school.

i moved to this school in year 9 and stayed on until 6th form - it is an excellent school with an amazing atmosphere. teachers, particularly the ones i’ve had experience with, go above and beyond to ensure you have all the right resources, understand the work fully & are confident with your knowledge. alongside this, we have an excellent house system which allows for heathy competition while having fun and creating amazing experiences.

If you're thinking of sending your child here, I'd suggest someplace else. The teachers are getting worse every year and they're sacking the older good ones and replacing them with hollow shells who don't understand the subject they're teaching. Bullying is a massive issue at this school as 99% of things that are against academy rules are ignored and once in a while something will blow up on the news e.g the suicide joke. This is a huge problem considering that one person will get singled out from the mob of rule breakers.
