Lovely home, we viewed lots of homes in the area and very happy that we chose Hollymount. The staff are lovely and are very caring. The home is always improving and is continuously being renovated including mums bedroom. Thank you to all the staff xx

One star is generous. This home is a disgrace. They freely admit to relying on sedatives to manage all of the residents, and my own mother was so heavily sedated and neglected she lost two stone in three weeks and all capacity to walk or eat unaided here before we came to our senses and took her somewhere people actually care about the residents and are prepared to spend time with them instead of gossiping in the managers office leaving relatives to run events to entertain those that aren't completely spaced out on drugs (deputy manager: 'all residents are on some form of sedation that's the only way we can manage'). Some relatives confided that they visit every single day just to ensure their loved ones have the minimum standards of care. Lounge has overwhelming smell of urine and there were buckets collecting leaks from the ceiling when mum was there. Pitiful. Avoid at all cost. And to respond to the comment that they don't prescribe, no they don't, but they do fabricate information to get the doctors to prescribe what they want them too e.g. telling mum's doctor without our knowledge that we put her in your care because she had aggressive tendencies which was a complete fabrication.

My father had been at Hollymount for 6 months before my mother moved in 5 years ago.. My mothers care was excellent nothing was to much trouble. All the staff were kind, happy & caring and treated my mum with dignity ( i was even able to bring my own dog into the home) all the residents really liked it also . My mum no longer communicate verbally but staff were able to interpret her needs and requirements and i felt the care was outstanding in the last few days of her life the staff were genuinely concerned and made sure she was comfortable as possible. their compassion was personal, i really can not thank you all enough .

My mother has stayed two weeks of a four-week respite, recovering from a bad fall at home. At first, she was extremely resistant to any help at home, cleaners or carers coming in to help her so the prospect of a care home was awful to her. However, after just a few days at Hollymount she has joined in with every activity offered, enjoyed meeting new friends and has been a revelation to all the family. It has been a touching thing to witness as she is so enjoying the company and care she has been given here. Thankyou Hollymount
