Firstly, your journey begins as you pull into homersfield, a quaint village. Then you're greeted to the traditional pub, with big rooms, and friendly staff. It has been years sins I was last here so was unsure what to expect. For starter, I had the grilled halloumi, with sun-dried tomatoes. The olive oil was great and flavours were there. My other half had the fried squid, that was full of flavour and seasoned to perfection. Starters were a good size. For mains, as it was Sunday, you know we had to go for a roast.. and baby.. it didn't disapoint. At first look I thought , hmm those roast potatoes could look a bit more brown, but upon close inspection with my teeth and tongue, they were cooked to perfection. The beef.. ohh the beef, stole the show tender, soft flavorfull. There was no over cooked chewy meat anywhere near the mucky duck. The mains hit the spot. Then desert came, I had the crumble, which was genuinely one of the best I've had. My other half had the Belgium waffles, which she said we're of a high quality! I recommend this place highly.

Amazing pub, such friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Came to the area for a weeks holiday and came over to the pub every night as we enjoyed it so much. Would definitely recommend it and we definitely be returning if we visit here again! (:
Excellent pub, with a great menu and food, and a good selection of drinks. Nice area to sit outside if you have a dog, and a large area out the back for a walk around. Definitely worth a trip!
Nice big comfy pub but poorly sign posted from main road. Lovely setting amongst thatched cottages in a cul-de-sac.
