Lovely atmosphere. Food delicious and nothing was too much trouble for our waitress Megan. She was helpful and very friendly and always had a smile. Definitely recommend to anyone. The photos showing the cheese and onion pie and chips and the pork loin were the small potions.

Went there today, the food was lovely and the female waitress was really nice. But and there’s a big but, if you’ve got allergies I really wouldn’t recommend. They were very accommodating and made me a nice salad and side potatoes but was very over priced and with my dessert I was brought two wafers. Which contain gluten/ wheat. I’m a coeliac and also have a severe allergy to wheat. The last time I was given something cross contaminated I ended up in hospital. I asked the male server if the wafers were gluten free? And he responded to say no and took away the dish. When he returned the ice cream had the dints in the ice cream where the wafers had been? I feel there should be training on allergies when it’s a food establishment as cross contamination is very serious and life threatening. So yet again I had to ask if this was the same ice cream and he’s just removed the wafers. He replied yes and I explained I couldn’t have it. I was brought out more ice cream later and hopefully it was fine. I’ve gone bloated but no serious reaction luckily this time. So as I said before the female waitress was lovely and very understanding. I just feel like having a allergy was a hindrance to the male server. Obviously I can’t comment on the chef or kitchen if there’s a separate area where they prepare allergy dishes like there should be, but my food was really nice and well presented. Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you have a nut allergy

Never disappointed with the food and ales are well kept. Can’t wait for them to be open again.

My cheese and onion pie was nice and a sizeable portion. My partner's Sunday roast was terrible. Beef was chewy, veg was raw and gravy was cold. The yorkshire pudding was minuscule. Not good at all
