It seems odd to give a small local bistro 5* but there really is little to fault with Paprika. Excellent food, so far have had two menu items and a special and all were very well made and presented. Attentive and friendly service from a team who really care about the restaurant. And lovely decor. Highly recommend. Note: menu is small, but perfectly formed. Never trust a big menu produced from a small kitchen.

St Albans has been crying out for a place like this for years. Contemporary food, small, focused menu, top quality ingredients and a carefully selected wine list. Staff who care about the customer experience. This one is worth going out of your way for.
Very charming restaurant with excellent service. Food was cooked with a lot of cares. Unfortunately does not serve alcohol drink, but you can bring it. Would like to come back soon.
As per my review on TripAdvisor, I first came here on their second day of opening out of curiosity and I was so glad I did. My boyfriend and I had breakfast and it was beautifully presented, tasty and delicious. Boyfriend claims the eggs Benedict he had was the best he had ever tasted in a restaurant setting. My crepes had the works on them and we both return again and again for the same. Our first visit for a main meal was equally delightful. Again delicious food and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, homely with silver cutlery, book shelves full of old classics and china tea sets. A bit of a hidden gem in St Albans off the main high street. I would definitely recommend the visit. The owners are lovely and I have always felt welcome as I walk in to take a seat on their comfy chairs. I have the privilege of living within walking distance of this wonderful establishment and I look forward to many more visits. Here again today for post work wind down. Such a delight to be here. A beautiful bistro, serving creative cuisine accompanied with s very friendly service. Great decor inside this Victorian old shop front with a small menu, the owner was super helpful and appreciative of our appreciation!
