Wow! A really good surprice. Nice garden terrace, amazing staff ( one person). A bit slow but she compensate that in kindness and service. Best of all. My best food experience for a long time

Visit : weekday evening / couple / counter Well we wasn't planning on eating Japanese and didn't even think to eat Japanese but after a few days of travelling from Zurich via Dijon and surrounding areas with it being a warm evening and all outside areas were busy we decided that Japanese would make a splendid choice for the evening Small restaurant indoors with counter and tables they have a rear outdoor area. We had no expectations however the Japanese couple owning and running the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and welcoming - as photos we went for a variety of dishes including our really lusted for sushi and sashimi. Taste and quality was spot on and something which miss after leaving Japan and being based in the rather dire food spot of Zurich. The selection of wines on the menu is not super extensive but there is a great choice and certainly the owner has picked some good choices that will match up well with the dishes on the menu. Highly recommended spot and as a comment would suggest booking in advance
Amazing Asian food in combination with great wine and atmosphere at the terrace. The owner lady is great. Quality of the fish is topnotch. Simple and casual.
What a wonderful experience in Beaune! The restaurant is tiny but cozy, and it is wonderful to watch the chef working his magic in the open kitchen. We sat at the bar and had salmon sashimi, fried oysters, delicious aubergines and out-of-this-world-delicious unagi. A must in Beaune if you love Japanese food. Thanks to Ms. Sawahata for her lovely, welcoming service.
Very nicely prepared meal from start to finish. I am not a big tempura fan and would not have ordered if not for it being part of the larger set menu but wow it was great not having the traditional dipping sauce but rather a yuzu puree and sea salt; simply amazing. The beef was made to perfection on high contact heat. Sushi and Shashimi are good but not sure I come only for that but maybe i need to try the eight piece item off menu to fully appreciate. Eggplant is must order even as extra to set menu (eat the skin you wont be disappointed). Great wine list.
My girlfriend and I went there for dinner and had the 6 course menu. The location (when seated at the bar) has some relaxed Japanese atmosphere. The food varied from really good (oyster) to not quite the quality I expected (sushi). Due to this variety in quality the price was reasonably too high!
Amazing food and great service!
Wonderful dining experience. Creative menu composition with refined dishes (interesting seasonings) and top quality products. Friendly and patient service, explaining all dishes served. If anything, it was a bit slow, as it’s just the owner couple who cook and serve as a 2-person team.
