I think their BSc Biomedical Sciences degree is an absolute joke. They’ve re-branded from calling it a BMedSc degree that I did a couple of years ago – but, judging from what I have seen on their website, it’s really more of the same . When I was on it, I thought the degree was so badly taught -- lecturers putting their answers to the test papers on the test paper itself; lecturers not having a clue of what year they were teaching; throwing students out of lecturers; being unhelpful, often rude; haphazard timetables. What is shocking is that they thought to master's level in second year of a BMedSc degree (!!!) The degree is also non-accredited, which I think is killing of whatever job prospects any of its graduates have. They use what I believe to be a rather flimsy excuse -- they do not want to teach their students to become research technicians, and, thus, accreditation is not appropriate. Most of its graduates -- i.e. the people I graduated with -- had to do PHDs, masters and other degrees to do get skills that they thought were not being taught properly on the degree. Some were unemployed for years. I remember some mentioning that they had been offered a place on the degree after being rejected from medicine – without even applying! Based on my experiences, I would avoid.
