Had a tattoo done in memory of my grandad && honestly it’s my favourite tattoo to date.. Rob smashed it I showed him the design and he made his own changes to make it unique and crushed it.. I can’t express enough how happy I am will definitely go back for my next tattoo without a doubt.. All the staff are friendly and funny, studios clean cannot fault them.. so thank you guys once again.. (:

The girl doing my piercing was professional and friendly, putting me at ease. However the positive comments end here. I’ve been pierced in three establishments around Birmingham and this is the worst by far. At 32 for a forward helix you would agree it is pretty expensive. They also refuse to let you leave without buying an overpriced bottle of after care solution, which clearly didn’t work. I asked lots of questions about the piercing process and told them I was prone to swelling. Hereafter a lot of errors were committed. It was not explained to me that should the piercing reject, fall out or migrate I would have to pay for it to be done again. At other places where the piercing has rejected or become malignant a free re-pierce has always been offered. Most of my piercings have been done at blue banana, and they do offer a much better service. Next up, the piercing was done with a ring, I did ask whether this would work, and was told yes. Later I learn, as I suspected that these piercings are best done with a barbell. The person I spoke to on the phone told me to “fix the swelling via osmosis”. A gcse science process, which without further clarification I wouldn’t have understand what she meant. She didn’t follow up with me on the phone when I sent images over and rang her to sort out a solution to this issue. She also neglected to answer my call today out of what I can only assume is cowardice. I have paid 32 for you to scar my ear and I am not content with merely leaving a bad review. I will warn my friends not to go to your shop when it reopens. I will try to reduce customer engagement with your “business” that operates out of a side street. Further, I will post on my social media platform telling my followers not to get pierced or tattooed in your shop. I will stop when I receive 32 back from Birmingham Ink to use on a piercing elsewhere. May I remind you that 32 is a lot of money to most people, especially in the current climate.
Just had done my cover-up tattoo, experience in Birmingham ink was amazing. The staff is very polite, and they are playing some good music. Tattoo at the end came out fantastic. Highly recommend this place. I am definitely coming back again.
Had my smiley pierced, I usually go to Blue Banana who are always welcoming and their customer service is impeccable. As Blue Banana were not doing mouth piercings due to covid I decided to go with Birmingham Ink. The piercing price is a rip off at 45, but I did not mind as I really wanted the piercing. I asked the piercer if the metal used was hypoallergenic. At Blue Banana you have two options of metal, the latter I go for as I tend to react to the titanium. This question seemed to offend the piercer who explained she only uses the best quality surgical metal. I never doubted this and was fully aware of what was normally used, just wanted to know if it was hypoallergenic. I understood that due to covid they like to get this piercing done quickly. You are told to hold your lip up, but my fingers kept slipping due to saliva. The piercer became impatient, commented that I was going to be trouble, like I was purposely not holding my lip correctly. It is a real shame and I will not visit this establishment again. I will stay with Blue Banana they really are lovely.
