So people have said there is no great African restaurant in Birmingham for families, couples etc. Empress bar & grill @ Samis Wholesale Cash & Carry has now taken care of this........with impeccable ambience, great tasty variety of foods and exotic drinks, there is no other place you'd rather be.

I admire this spot! They offer first-rate dishes, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that restaurant is well trained, I enjoy a lot trying all their food. The food is consistently of high class, the service towards the clients is nice. I frequently visit this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend it to all.
We came to this place for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very successful. The staff were very polite and we felt good. The food was just great. We loved this place very much and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Have been to Empress bar & grill several times and have never been disappointed. Food was delicious as always and the staff were really accommodating and polite. I would highly recommend and we will be back.
Best delicious food I’ve had in a while. The moi moi was well cooked, the jollof was amazing and the person that took my order on the phone was really polite. I will definitely be order from there again. 10/10.
