A lovely reminder of how English village pubs used to be. Landlord is friendly and makes you feel at home. Good real ale that's well kept and cared for and a nice selection of pub favourites on the food menu. The beer garden is spacious and is the perfect place for a drink with friends and to enjoy the sunshine. We need to support pubs like this before we lose them.

Cosy old pub in a lovely rural little village. Friendly service at the bar, will definitely return when were in the area again.
Nice big garden with spaced out tables and some undercover tables in a large marquee. The one way system through the bar works well, sanitisers placed at various positions on the walls. Plenty of signs and the bar area has perspex screens in place for protection. A nice pub that's adapted well to Covid restrictions.
Food ok but not great. Few vegetables and didn't even seem to have ice cream. Understaffed on bar. Lovely old building. Very convenient for Twycross zoo.
