Absolutely lovely little cafe, cannot recommend enough! Staff are super friendly, cheerful and helpful and the cake and coffee is delicious. The place itself has the perfect coffee shop atmosphere - warm lighting, lots of wood, mismatched chairs etc. Everything was well priced (and I'm a student)!

This is hands down my favourite coffee shop in Cardiff (and probably the UK!) I came across this beautiful place tucked down an alley when me and my friends were trying to find somewhere to watch a rugby world cup game, and the rest is history! The food is delicious, the coffee is strong and the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming, and not only that, but the entire ethos of the place means you don't even feel guilty about having a cheeky oat latte during your shopping trip!️
Big Moose is a special place with an ethos that all their staff embody - leaving the world better than we found it. Big Moose are a not-for-profit coffee shop putting all their profits back into helping raise awareness and give practical support to tackle mental health and homelessness. The coffee shop has the best atmosphere whether you’re in for brunch, lunch, just coffee or one of their events - rugby days are particularly special in the shop! The service is excellent and the staff are super friendly. Nothing is too much trouble they’re always happy to tailor food items to meet all tastes and diets. My personal favourite is the avo and tomato bagel - it should be renamed the Big Moose Special! Great coffee, a buzzy atmosphere, a wall of live plants and friendly staff - what more could you want in a coffee shop! Oh, and they’ve got an award winning toilet!
We have been regulars at big moose since it opened and we always take friends & family here when visiting or catching up! They're so friendly and helpful, the menu provides a really broad range but is also totally customisable as everything's made fresh so there's definitely something for everyone! I've also been for evening events and it's a fantastic space for that. I've been both solo and with friends & family and never fail to have a wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!
Amazing cafe in the heart of Cardiff City centre. You'll find it tucked away in a lane off Queen Street so keep your eyes open for it. The cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a fantastic range of both hot and cold drinks. The menu although not extensive, caters for most tastes including vegetarian and vegan. The ethos of the cafe is amazing providing support for those down on their luck who sleep rough in the City. We took our newborn baby who was welcomed by the staff and there were appropriate facilities for her. I would recommend a visit whenever you are in the City Centre to support this fantastic venture.
