This local Homebase store is a bit of a disappointment. Whilst it has been handy with a few purchases I find myself going there only when I really must and out of local convenience if I need something right away. But I feel that if Screwfix could open a store in Biggleswade it would signal the death of Homebase. The store is in a dire state of affairs and looks like it's been on the brink of closing down for years. Whilst most of the staff have been friendly and professional there has been one incident where I got questioned over a product I was returning as if I had stolen it. This being that when you enter the store you cannot simply go to the returns/customer service desk, they have blocked this off so you need to go through a few isles first, this being the paint section unless you enter via the exit side. Very poor design. If they cannot afford to bring this store up to speed, it might be worth the town propositioning other DIY stores to the town.

The recent changes of company ownership have left this store a bit muddled but the staff are fantastic, the stock is plentiful and the ranges are broad. Some great prices and bargains to be had :) (I bought tiles and paint)

Very helpful young lad who came out of garden centre bit to help with some ex display childrens toybox and cube unit furniture to get them off shelves and onto trolley. Wish I'd got his name. Very polite and friendly and helpful.
