1st visit since many moons ago. Same shop, same setting but cleanly spruced up. The famous Duck Thigh Soup with Dry Wanton Noodles was decent then with it's the soup being a light amber colour. Now the duck meat taste like dry bark cooked in herbal soup while the soup has taken a darker (sook dei) tinge. No cigars this round and most likely won't be returning.

Last stand by Pun Chun's 3rd generation Khong family as time and tide pass by this iconic Bidor town. The neighbouring Hainanese chicken rice couple have retired for the brighter heavenly lights. In this small pond, stands out Bidor's chicken biscuit made with lard, a final bastion standing in the face of rising Islamisation in the Perak suburbs. The battle is lost if this biscuit turns HALAL. #FightXtremism

Ordered the herbal duck wantan mee and it’s delicious. Chewy noodle texture, generous amount of veggies and the meat of the duck is cooked until tender it easily falls off from the bones. Herbal soup tastes great and not too greasy which is good. This brand also produces the best sak kei ma and chicken biscuits!

Okay so I get told me we're going for good wantan mee. And I love wantan mee. I honestly appreciate every aspect of it. The only aspect worth appreciating in this one is the noodles texture, and even then it's subjective. It's slightly under cooked so there's a stronger bite sensation. The sauce was bringing of tastelessness, but I can understand my bias due to kl wantan mee being overly sweet. The char siew was in the books for one of the worst I've ever had. The Wanton was decent. Substantially packed and had some flavour to it. Soup was very salty and full of msg. Overall a dissapointing experience. Would not recommend.

Poor quality food, We had roast duck with rice, herbal duck soup, wan ton noodles, curry chicken noodles, siew Mai and steam fish ball. All were poorly prepared n lacking in certain flavours. Roast duck did not have five spice or dried mandarin taste, the sauce with it tasted of salt only. Herbal duck soup did not have any herbal taste. It was sweet with longan and some Woodberries in the soup. Curry wan ton noodles tasted fair. The wan ton had a wanting of Hong Kong style with a prawn in it but was more flour than pork. So was the steam fish balls n siew Mai. Lacks the requisite meats but was flour infused. It was also served cold. Totally disappointing experienced

Think of Bidor & you will think of the duck drumstick noodles. Fragrant & light herbal soup, the noodles is just springy & tasty. Not a fan of duck? Try out their wan tan mee, equally tasty as well.

Duck noodles not so good and pricey now. Only worth mentioning is the prawn wanton.
