Speke's Mill Mouth Waterfall in North Devon falls 48 metres in three steps, from the edge of the cliffs to the rocky beach below and is located in a stunningly beautiful area of hanging valleys and high cliffs. Speke’s Mill is set just north of the Devon/Cornwall border, near Hartland Point & Spekes Valley is part of the North Devon Biosphere, an area of rare and beautiful lichens & abundant plant life.

Travelled over one and a half hours to see this beautiful beauty spot, unspoilt and peaceful despite being late summer. Earlier heavy rain meant the water fall was even more spectacular. Few people present meant we had all the time we needed to explore the fantastic beach. So any wonderful rock and stone formations which added to the dramatic effect. Lots of climbing involved but well worth the visit
Dramatic coast line. Big waterfall not many people. Short walk from Hartland Quay.
Amazing place! The waterfall is gorgeous and you can easily spend the day here. There’s a lot to see and the trail for the waterfall is OK. I went with some friends on a cloudy day and was a bit windy and cold, so if you want to go in those days make sure you take a good windbreaker jacker. Hartland quay is also worth a visit
After a short (relative) walk along the coast path from Harthill Quay car park this little gem of a waterfall appears. Care will be required on the approach, particularly when wet underfoot. Pets and children must be safely controlled in this area.
