Jash (food in Armenian) is super old school. All the food items are extremely traditional. The recipes are very well kept from owner's family. I believe this is the best Armenian food/dinner place in Istanbul. There is a little bit of live music every night which is super cozy. Our service was excellent, we tried almost everything that is traditional on the menu :). Our favorite was \Dalak dolmasi
Lovely romantic meal. Gregarious hosts serving delicious food. We particularly liked the stuffed mussels appetiser!
Overpriced for average food and small portions. However, the worst was that they gave us a bigger portion of what we originally ordered (which is double the price) and charged that. On top of that, the waiter just added 15% instead of 10% for service. I do not recommend coming here as a tourist.
Pathetic. The owner didn't wear a mask, was standing very close to us, shoving her hands in our faces for talking, and was extremely pushy and arrogant. When we mentioned food allergies, her face was smug and she kept pushing for more. We took very few starters as we wanted to try some desserts. We asked for the Wi-Fi, she said that today it was not working (lie). After trying the dishes, it was obvious that we would not get anything else here as they were tasteless. The last awful surprise is that they included an additional 10% service fee on the already expensive bill (by Turkish standards) for one of the worst service I've ever received. Do not go there. Overpriced and tasteless. AVOID.
Average food for this pricing. And it is not a casual place. Probably it’s one of turkish arrogant places. The director Mari, however they charged us too much on the bill, was acting so weird when we were having fun. Guess it’s forbidden to laugh there!!!!! Wear toxido when you are going there. LOL !
Food excellent fix menu 195tl. But you should make rezervation before. One man use the accordion and play the old Turkish songs. All the furniture and staff are old and historic and seems amazing. Arménien and Turkish mezes are delicious.
Some of mezzes and the soup were clearly spoiled, waiters refused to admit it and were very rude. Instead she was asking if we know what aubergine was... No apologies at all, they even included service fee into the bill. Outrageous! Other dishes were just ok. Extremely overpriced for this quality and service. Avoid.
