Great Park to take the kids to for fun. Good areas for kids, they have climbing frames, slides, area for scooters, skate boards, bikes to do tricks on. Even have boats for you to go round the lake in the middle of the park. Or just go for a nice walk around the park on the foot paths. Even has a fenced in area for dogs to run around in.

Wide open spaces, a lovely pond with ducks (far too many seagulls though!), swans and coots. The wizard walk is fun but make sure you wear good shoes, not sandals or flip flops! Lots of places throughout the park to sit and watch the world go by. The circular walk around the fountain is a nice place to sit and is clearly where folks go to meet each other, I spent an interesting hour people watching there! The 'Peace Garden' and rose garden were quiet so that was good although it has been busy, and noisy, (can you hear me 'tutting'!) when I've visited previously. Some play areas for children, a real shame that the train no longer runs, although all the track is still there so maybe it will return. A pity there is no cafe as that would make a bomb (once the politicians decide how I can live my life safely when out and about, grr!!) although given that the saddest thing of all was the rubbish, it's perhaps just as well there is nowhere selling more disposable rubbish!! Further notes, I've been back a few times to the park and enjoyed exploring it further even having a lovely conversation with some regulars - yes very socially distanced conversations! Yesterday, 16 Nov, it was quite bright so a Beveridge Park perimeter walk was called for. Spoke to lovely lady who has a dog with dementia, they were a great addition to the morning. Sadly I saw that one of the Cygnets has managed to get snared by a fishing hook, with an attached lure and fishing line around it's neck. Now I know fishing is a fun and popular sport but, to all fishers, please do recover hooks, line and lures when you've finished. Here's some photos of the day to show what's there in November!
