A must-visit-place. A good guided tour ,which at some times also is in English or German. If you go on a French (bad timed visit ex) guided tour ,you get a folder in English and the you understand most of it.The highlight is of course the train-ride in the tunnels which everybody who has played Half-life 2 will love even more. There is also a ride with original elevators, visits to gun-positions and a lot of other things to see.The landscape is also very nice.

Amazing tour. I loved the guide, he really tried to speak English for the non-French speakers. Also, the tour was way longer than expected and we got to see a lot so it didn't feel as long. The tour took about 2 hours. We also got to ride an old train through the tunnels which was also an amazing experience! The money was really wel spend.

Great tour of the facility, blown away by how well thought out and extensive this piece of the Maginot line was. Enjoyed the train ride from the ammunition magazine to the various blocks in the complex.

Arrive before 2pm, if you are late you will miss it, as this is 1 tour lasting 2 hours, not an open museum. It was a great experience. The fort has been very well restored and the electric train ride is a fantastic touch. Unfortunately the tour guide speaks French throughout but he did try to explain the odd thing in English. My wife and I were the only English speakers in a tour of about 20 people so I guess that is fair enough. There is an English translation guide that you have to buy for 3 euros. I think this should be free. I found this quite hard to follow due to its structuring but it did give a lot of information I would otherwise have missed. For English speakers you have to really want to experience the environment, not so much the information. If you are one of those people I would thoroughly recommend.
