Beautiful place with history, lovely boat ride out into the estuary to see seals & possibly dolphins, but we just observed grey seals on our trip, which was great. There's a trip upstream, under the historic bridges too. Some nice places not too far away to visit, very scenic & relaxing, with pubs etc, for a bite to eat.

Plenty to see and do here with gorgeous scenery all around you
Lovely town but gone down hill a bit in 12 years , come on Northumberland CC put some money into this what was a beautiful town
