Added bonus of gigantic field mushrooms this time :)
We must have picked the rainiest day this year to camp here, but the amazing Amanda went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible! The facilities were lovely and clean, and the outdoor shelter was absolutely brilliant to cook and chill out in. We had a great time and will certainly be returning again soon.
so beautiful, welcoming, derelict, peaceful and magical. Upon arrival (9pm we was running late), the host welcomed us with beer as we had a stressful journey - which was unexpected and delightful. She continued to surprise us with her kindness, would regularly check in on us to make sure we’re okay and happy, would recommended walking routes and explain how to get to and from. It’s situated in the most perfect location, surrounded by silent fields and hills, right near Luns church and the roaches. We was the only ones camping there at the time which is always a bonus. Can’t fault the place, can’t recommend it enough. Wouldn’t camp anywhere else in the Peak District, all thanks to how lovely and warming the host was. It really does make all the difference. Heads up tho.. there’s no showers!
